Holiday season is over. After vacations, getting back on our feet takes double effort. The whole month feels like Monday.
Here are 10 fun things to kickstart your year:
KNOW YOURSELF BETTER WITH THIS PERSONALITY TEST
Although long (it takes us 3-5 mins), filling out the test is worth it. The result spells out your personality completely, from how you handle relationships to the best career options based on your strength. That way, you can reflect and feel readier to face 2017.
EASY HEALTHY BREAKFAST IN BED
Skipping breakfast increase our snacking desire (and eventually our weight too). Before we bid farewell to our favorite dresses, let’s make these easy yummy breakfast.
A NEW DIARY FOR THE YEAR
Keep your life organized with cute journals. Try browsing here. If you’re a Potterhead, you’ll love this. After you get your hands on the journal, don't forget to plan this year's adventures (#wanderlust).
GET IN YOUR BEST SHAPE
If you’re not the sporty type, the idea of running 5k sounds dreadful. Good news: we have a list of fun exercises to try (some doesn’t involve leaving home, hint: Victoria’s Secret Angels) and the awesome leggings too.
STARTING A CHALLENGE YOU ACTUALLY LIKE
Ask yourself: what are things that make you happy? Turn it into an achievable challenge, like eat your favorite fruit 3 days a week, watch a movie a day, or try an easy recipe every Saturday morning.
EDITING PICTURES FROM HOLIDAYS (AND TAKING NEW ONES)
These apps would up your feed game:
- Aviary (from the company which brings us Photoshop)
- Picky (helping you choose the best pic from Megabyte-taking duplicate photos)
- DSCO (gif version of VSCO)
SOCIAL MEDIA DETOX
If social media is the last thing you see before you sleep and the first thing you see after you wake up, you should really consider getting off social media. We don’t mean disappearing like Selena Gomez or Kendall Jenner. We mean: limiting the time you’re on it, like not using your phone after 10 PM and remove your phone from the dining table. Kendall said, “You start to engage in real life and how you have to deal with real people right in front of you. So it’s really nice to be away from it, even if it’s just Instagram.”
EXPERIMENT WITH NEW LOOKS
RECONNECT WITH OLD FRIENDS
“Get out, connect with new people,” said every New Year resolution article. Yes, having a strong network is very important. But, we don’t know where to start. Why not starting with old friends from elementary school/ high school?
