Girlcrush : Chianty

Meet Chianty, the coolest stylist ever. We chatted a little with her about her amazing work, random fashion thingies, and a few styling advice.

Here’s the recap:

Are you a heels person or a sneakers person?

SNEAKERS, but, actually, I love wearing heels as long as the style’s not too feminine.

If you’re given a free pass to take an entire wardrobe from any fashion icon from any era, whose wardrobe would you take and why?

It would be MARGARETH ZHANG’s wardrobe. Every pieces of her outfit is just to die for! No doubt!

Out of all styling projects you’ve worked on, which one do you love the most? Why?

DYLAN SADA x CHIANTYGUNAWAN. Dylan such an amazing person on earth who makes you feel great about yourself from the first time you saw her. Although she’s very talented, she’s also humble. It’s just so easy to work with someone who has a positive energy.

Any styling advice?

For you guys who want to look sexy: you should know what to bare and what to keep under wraps. Otherwise, where's the mystery? If you chose to show your cleavage, don't show your legs. If you chose to show your legs, stay covered on top.

If you've got a closet full of neutrals (navy, black, camel, or gray), add energy with boldly hued shoes and bags. Hunter green satchel is more lively than ho-hum black and also surprisingly versatile. If you’re feeling brave, team up a neutral base with shoes and a bag with two different complementary colors.

Once you know which silhouettes flatter you, filter trends ruthlessly. For instance, if you're petite and shapely, it's best to avoid tall columns and billowy maxis even if you love them.
