Meet Ellie. You may recognize her as @elsas_wholesomelife. You might have seen some of her colorful smoothie bowls or travel pictures on Instagram. She just graduated with honors in Nutrition and Dietetics, and, recently, her recipe book is published!
A while ago, we caught up with her. Here’s how it goes:
How is life in Bali treating you? Can you share your routines?
I love Bali life. The weather is always warm and the food is great! My routine daily is somewhat like- wake up, have a coffee, go to the gym, make a smoothie, go for a swim, catch up on emails and editing photos, go out for lunch, create content, more emails and then cook dinner and watch some Netflix or catch up on more works.
According to you, which region has the best food?
BALI, 100%, by a long shot too! Especially for vegans.
What is the best thing about being a vegan?
I think the best thing is that I know what I am putting in my body is good for me, the planet and other species.
What’s the most delicious vegan meal you’ve ever tasted?
The most delicious… That is tough as I have eaten at so many, but Peloton Supershop in Bali has some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.
Can you share your favorite breakfast recipe?
My favorite breakfast recipe is the beautiful bircher from my new cookbook. It’s so quick and makes me feel soo good inside.
Congratulations on your book! What’s your favorite part of the book?
Thanks so much!! I really love going through and looking at all of the additional lifestyle photos I have shared as they are memories of my time over the past few years.
Do you have any tip for aspiring food bloggers out there?
A tip would be to be persistent at it as it will take time, but use that time to progress and develop your skills.
