Pujut, West Nusa Tenggara
Feels like living on a music video scene. Located on a hilltop, this huge villa has a great view overlooking Tanjung Aan Beach. If you’re an early riser, you can see the sunrise. Reviews said photos don’t do the justice.
You may spend your time swimming, playing billiard, or snuggling the friendly resident dogs, named named Apple and Vodka. The downside: it’s a bit remote, so you’d need transport to get around, which the host would happily arrange.

2. The Gili Beach Resort Villa
Pemenang, West Nusa Tenggara
3 words: private beach party. This villa is literally seaside, you’d only have to pass your private pool before stepping into the calm beach. The staff would arrange everything for you, including a party.
If you prefer to go somewhere else to party, you may walk or bike (complementary) to the nearby bars.
Besides the parties, you can’t miss snorkeling (also complimentary). A guest found sea turtles 50ms from the private beach.

3. Modern Beach House
Nusa Dua Pandawa, Bali.
If you wish to be close to nature but can’t sleep without modern comfort, this mini villa is for you. Both the architecture and the view are eye-pleasing, since it’s built on the top of the cliff right next to the forest. A few guests said they met jungle monkeys and geckos near the house. From the bedroom, you can see the private pool, the forest and the beach. You’d need to walk down the reef to get to the beach. FYI, the host offers surfing lessons.

4. High-End Apartment
Kemang, South Jakarta
You don't need to get stuck in traffic as this apartment is located in the heart of Jakarta's high-end everything-- restaurants, bars and more. You don't even have to wait long for to go up since the flat comes with private lift.

5. Zen Hideaway
Gianyar, Bali
The swing caught our attention. This 150-year-old teak house was redesigned with a Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetic, so everything, even the shower is either in bamboo, wood or stone. From up there, you’d enjoy the view of the Ayung river, valley, rice fields and Mt. Agung. You may hike a little to a nearby waterfall.

Love vintage? This house is filled with art and old school things. Most of the furniture are made by the host from wooden pallets and bamboos.

8. Artsy Guest House
Yogyakarta
Artsy, traditional and the location is okay. Although it’s near restaurants and supermarket, it’s still surrounded by the green Brajan village, where farmers still live their traditional Javanese life. You’d share the home with some pets, including shy chameleons in the garden.

9. Homey House
Jogjakarta
For a full on Jogjakarta experience with friends, try booking this home. The house suits 10 people, it has 4 bedroom and 4 bathroom, so you don’t have to wait long to shower.
Review said the host is incredibly helpful, suggesting you with itinerary and the weather. The location is top notch, close to restaurants, cafes, shops and famous places like Keraton, Malioboro, etc.

If you enjoy the outdoors (and don’t mind the bugs), this place is for you. You’d practically live in a cottage in the middle of a rice field and take a shower with the stars as your roof.

Expect quality conversations. This house features comfy couches and tall windows overlooking a green park. It's also close to cafes and restaurants. The host recommends morning walks to the nearby Juanda Forest to have a coffee. Meaning, you'd have all the privacy you want without having to worry where to eat next.
